Warranty Policy
At Tale of Heart, we honour the connection between jewellery, story, and the person who wears it. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and carefully crafted to be lived in, cherished, and carried through time.
12-MONTH WARRANTY
We offer a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing faults in materials or workmanship.
If a fault is identified within this period, we will repair or replace the piece at our discretion. You will only be responsible for the cost of shipping the piece to us.
LIFETIME REPAIR SERVICE
Beyond the initial warranty period, our commitment continues.
We offer a lifetime repair service for a small fee, subject to assessment. This ensures your jewellery can be restored and enjoyed for years to come, honouring both longevity and sustainability.
If a piece cannot be repaired, we offer a recycling service at no cost. While this does not carry a credit or exchange value, it reflects our commitment to responsible practices and circularity.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER OUR WARRANTY
Our warranty does not cover damage resulting from normal wear or circumstances beyond our control.
This includes, but is not limited to:

General wear and tear over time

Product alterations, resizing, or modifications

Inappropriate use, impact, or storage

Lost or stolen items

Tarnishing caused by failure to follow care instructions

Repairs or alterations carried out by third parties

Stretched chains, scratches, dents, misshaping, or knotting (unless due to a manufacturing fault)

Damage caused by activities that may compromise durability, such as heavy labour, gym activity, pottery, heat exposure, or similar (please refer to our Jewellery Care Guide)

Events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, or civil unrest

OVERSEAS CLIENTS
If you purchased your jewellery in Australia and are currently residing overseas, warranty or repair items must be returned to our Australian studio at your cost.
Repaired or replacement pieces will be returned to an Australian address by default. International return shipping can be arranged at an additional cost.
AUSTRALIA CONSUMER LAW
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
