Compostable Mailer

Our shipping mailers are made from plant-based, home-compostable materials designed to return gently to the earth. Free from harmful microplastics, they naturally break down within a few months while remaining waterproof, durable and reliable in transit. Carefully chosen for both performance and planet, these mailers protect your jewellery on it’s journey without leaving a lasting footprint behind.

Once your order arrives, simply remove any labels, cut the mailer into smaller pieces and place it into your home compost. Over time, it will decompose naturally and safely, designed to leave no trace. It is a small but meaningful step in our commitment to thoughtful design, where even the materials that briefly hold your treasure are chosen with care, intention and respect for our home.

Outer Shipping Carton

Each order is protected within a sturdy outer shipping carton made from 100% recycled cardboard. Designed to be strong yet simple, these cartons safeguard your jewellery while remaining fully recyclable. Printed using GREENGUARD-certified, compostable UV inks, every detail has been carefully considered to minimise environmental impact without compromising quality or safety.

After unboxing, we encourage you to reuse the carton where possible, whether for storage, gifting or safekeeping. When it’s journey with you is complete, it can be flattened and placed into your curbside recycling to be reborn as new paper products. Even in transit, we choose materials that carry purpose rather than waste, reflecting our belief that responsibility should be present at every stage of the story.

Your jewellery is placed with care inside a box crafted from FSC-certified, responsibly sourced recycled paper. Designed to feel enduring yet understated, each box includes a handmade insert created to cradle your piece securely. The insert is made from recycled paper with soft flocking fabric, chosen for it’s strength, clean finish and minimal plastic use, because luxury can be created responsibly.

Once received, the box can be reused to store jewellery, keepsakes or meaningful mementos, or recycled with household paper and cardboard. Minimal in design and thoughtfully constructed to reduce waste, it reflects our belief that responsibility is not an afterthought but an essential part of the Tale of Heart experience, where every layer carries intention.
